Meet the Teacher

Hi, I am Sara Anders. I am the director of Wild at heART and also the teacher of all the classes. Originally from Valdosta, I now live in Thomasville with my husband who grew up here. We have two dogs, lots of friends, and love the outdoors!

If we aren't in town you can find us at the beach or in the mountains!

I fell in love with visual arts in elementary school when my art teacher, Mrs. Zeigler, introduced me to the color wheel. From that moment on I knew I wanted be an artist and I wanted to share my passion with others.

In my spare time I am an acting artist. I mostly paint pet portraits and have a small business called Wildflower Interiors where I focus on creating home decor items inspired by nature. But, my favorite way to get creative is with a classroom full of kids! I started working with kids in college when I took a part time job working in a youth program. That job led to my involvement with a summer camp program where I was the Art Director and then Co Camp Director with my now husband, Brad.

Art and kids are my two favorite things and finding a way to put them together to create a career for myself is a dream come true! I appreciate your support and thank you for your advocacy of the visual arts! If you aren't already a part of the program I hope you will join and be a little Wild at heART with us!
